Totally worth the money, these rasps are incredible. One thing to get use to is they work better with lighter pressure them a traditional rasp.

A foot trimmer friend recommended this to me so I can learn to do my horses' feet. This thing is sharp and works great. I don't think I'll ever have to replace it. Make sure you wear gloves!

I love this rasp. Oh my, trimming is a joy again! Its longer than traditional rasps but you soon get used to it. I went for medium but id like the tough and medium blades, using the rougher one for reducing length and medium for finer work.Initially you might find it catches….youre using too much pressure normal rasps require. Lessen the pressure and these glide better. Less wrist ache using these than other rasps despite these being longer.Thanks cody for an excellent design…im a convert!

(Updated Review): Initially, I wasn't impressed with this rasp. Now, I would give it 6 stars if I could. Today, I trimmed a miniature donkey with very overgrown hooves. The owner had a hard time getting a farrier who wanted to do a little donkey. The donkey wasn't behaving. Which was making nipping one-handed difficult. Also, the stall the donkey was in needed cleaning and was a little damp (we just had a snowstorm and -18 temperatures so understandable). The Cody James saved the day. I was able to use it in place of my nippers. This made the donkey much more comfortable, and I got a lot more hoof off. The Cody James really went to town. My Heller Excel rasp kept clogging due to the damp hoof. It was still a tough job, but the Cody James made it so much easier. This rasp has been an excellent addition to my tool box. Just get it. You'll have it on your truck for tough situations like the one I was saw today.(Original Review Posted on 2/10/2021): Today was my first day using the Cody James Rasp. I was trimming in the snow. I've been trimming for about 20 years and have used just about every rasp on the market. My favorite rasp is currently the Heller Excel Original. The Cody James rasp does work. It will get the job done. But it isn't better than my $27.00 Heller Excel. It seems like the Heller Excel removes just as much hoof and produces a much smoother finish right from the start. I don't like that I have to come back with another rasp and clean up the rasp marks from the Cody James Rasp. Now, maybe using it on a few more horses in more weather conditions will change my mind. But for now, I'm going to give it 3 stars, because I think it's a little overrated. It also could be about half the price at around $40.00.

I bought this as an upgrade to my cheap rasp. I wasnt sure I believed the hype but I knew what I would get with another normal rasp and so I took the chance after asking my facebook hoof trimming group for their opinions. I am so happy and it is very much worth the extra money. I started with the medium and I wont need the aggressive. It eats hooves and with very little effort. It will jam up if you apply too much pressure and it's an adjustment to learn to use but worth the effort once you get your method and rhythm. You can use it with or without the frame. If you have been considering it, buy it.

Im großen und ganzen bin ich geschockt wie Klasse das arbeiten mit der Raspeln ist.Da mein altes Pony hinten links Probleme hat mit hochhalten und eigentlich da nie still hält wenn man die linke Seite macht ging es sehr gut sonst hab ich eine Ewigkeit dafür gebraucht, habe sie mir in Mittel geholt werde sie mir in der kleineren Version nochmal bestellen und in den anderen Stärken....ist wirklich zu empfehlen

I had heard very good reviews from farriers about this rasp, so I had to give it a try.... wow, awesome! Well worth the price! Liked it so much I got another one so I have both the medium and aggressive. Need a good hoof rasp? This is the best!

This rasp did not disappoint. I ordered the medium and it makes hoof rasping very efficient. Later I will order the fine tooth one.
