I was excited to try the COBI TREASUREX Robots Gold – Mini Robot, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a bit underwhelming. While the concept of a treasure-hunting robot is fun, the actual execution left a lot to be desired.1. Minimal Unboxing ExperienceThe packaging consists of just a small bag and a tiny box, which doesn’t create much of a "treasure-hunting" feel. Unlike other TreasureX toys that involve digging or revealing elements, this one is pretty basic—just open the bag and pull out the pieces. The mystery element is there, but the excitement wears off quickly since there’s not much to do other than snap the robot together. Not a lot of functionality here.2. Small and Lacking FeaturesThe robot itself is really tiny, which might be disappointing if you were expecting something more substantial. It doesn’t have much articulation or playability beyond standing on a shelf. The "gold" treasure inside is also very small and not that special—just a tiny trinket that doesn’t feel like a big discovery.3. Feels More Like a Collectible Than a ToyBecause of its size and limited movement, it’s more of a static figure than an interactive toy. Younger kids might lose interest quickly since there’s not much they can do with it beyond swapping parts (if they have more than one).Final Verdict:If you’re expecting an engaging unboxing experience or a robot with lots of interactive features, this might not be worth the price. The packaging is minimal, the build is simple, and the treasure reveal isn’t particularly exciting. It’s better suited for collectors than kids looking for an action-packed toy.⭐ Rating: 2.5/5 – Feels too basic, not enough interaction for the price.

The activity is literally cutting open a cardboard box to reveal a plastic bag and a blind pouch with the "battery". It's a plain, brown paperboard box, no design, no special shape, it's completely lame. Where is the slime?Watching the "rust" paint flake and drop off is a little interesting, it takes too long, it's mainly hands off, also pretty lame. The design of the robot is the saving grace, great robot design.I would have no issue if this was $10, but even on sale it was $16! For three chunks of plastic that snap together, a too small plastic knife, and paperboard. A total rip off.
