I’ve purchased a number of fountain pins over the years and summer are better than others. I’ve owned this one a long time and it has never written decently for me. It takes twice as long or more to write anything with this pen than any other pen, it’s not worth the money even though it’s not very expensive

Nice fountain pen, but the stained color of the wood came off when it came into contact with Antibacterial Spray

I've written with hundred dollar fountain pens that don't measure up to these Cobee handcrafted pens. I'm ordering another. First one i ordered was in Classical Blue. It's gorgeous and calming simultaneously. Holidays are arriving soon and can't wait to be hugging the wood stove with my Cobee fountain pen in one hand and tea in another writing and signing holiday cards. I might go with the green or sandalwood next order; or both. i should add that i use these pens as dip pens. the extractor works Perfectly. however, i just prefer dip pen use.

For $5.38 this pen is perfectly acceptable. It writes without skipping or puddling. I like the green wooden barrel, which is why (besides the price) I purchased it. What I don't like is that the cap screws on, which means you are holding onto the screw threads when you write with it. This gives it a rather unpleasant feeling to hold. The nib also drags on the paper, which with my severe thumb arthritis becomes painfully uncomfortable after a few minutes of writing. I was thinking of purchasing several colors of this pen to hold different color inks, but I have decided against that.Edited to add: I decided to give this pen a second chance. Since it was so cheap, I took some 2,000 grit sand paper with a drop of pad-lock oil and tried to smooth the nib a bit. It actually worked! The pen writes much more smoothly now. Encouraged by this success I purchased a second one, in red. It was a much better writing experience from the very start, no sanding required. AND the red one was under $4.00. At such a cheap price, these pens are pretty remarkable. I'm very happy with my purchases now. Only one complaint left: I wish they had a clip to keep them from rolling off my desk!

New year, new journal, beautiful new pen to write in it. Construction is well done. Threads fit well together. The point if fine and it writes well. Like with any of this style of pen, if you leave it set for too long the tip dries out and won't write. Eject the ink within, recharge it with ink, and it comes right back to life.

The product was really good. It comes with a refillable ink cartridge and the wood is really smooth and a beautiful colour. It writes really well and is similar to fountain pens of a far higher price tag.

The Cobee Wooden Fountain Pens encompass beauty in simplicity. The finishing is good. The salient points are:- The golden hue of the metallic parts makes them look classy.- The wooden body shows the wood grains.- The wooden body comes in different colours, so they can be used for multi-colour calligraphy.- The thickness of the lines are 0.5 millimetre, just as described.- The cap has no lip.- The cap screws onto the barrel.- The section screws into the barrel.I purchased a set of four, black, blue, green, and red, for calligraphy, and I am happy with the purchase. See images enclosed herewith.

The pen is exactly the same as in the photo. It came in the exact color. The pen is a bit weighted in comparison with other pencils. It works perfectly and writing is very simple.

This review is for the Cobee® Wooden Fountain Pen with the fine nib.Okay so I'm brand new to fountain pen adventures but watched a tonne of youtube vids, read reviews and, like you, don't know much about all this as I lack real-world experience. For my first fountain pen I knew that I wanted a:Fine nibInk converterDecent price pointThis pen ticked all of my boxesI didn't know if I cared about the fact that it is a screw on cap or that you can't post (put the cap on the back of the pen) or didn't have a pocket holder thing or not etc... I did know that I wanted a fine nib even though I'm still confused that there seems to be two versions (Asian vs international?) of what constitutes "fine" and I don't know which one this is.I also came into an old fine nib Sheaffer Targa fountain pen, at about the same time, that is giving me grief as it leaks but it is a work in progress. It's a good quality pen, about 30-40 years old and appears to have been neglected so it needs work. Having said that, when it writes, it's lovely. On the slim side and a pleasure to write with.My other comparison pen was a demo Lamy at the local Monks office supply store. It was rather scratchy on the paper but that could very well have been because a kabillion people have tried it out. Still, that's what I had to work with.Right, so this pen feels smooth and nice in my med/large male hand. It has heft (dunno if that is good or bad but I like it so far) and feels like it writes well and smoothly. The nib seems to be on par in size with the Sheaffer fine nib Targa. I wrote a letter with it the day it arrived and then decided to see how it performed after waiting a day. 24 or so hours later it worked flawlessly. I did the same test leaving it about three days and, again, it worked perfectly. In both cases the pen was stored nib end up. At this point I can't report on how it performs with a longer waiting period. This pen has not yet leaked on my fingers, was easy to fill with ink and appears to be genuine wood as I can feel grain when running my thumb nail over the body. The rest of it is brass which, I assume, adds to the heft. The brass also means that it is heavy towards the writing end so there's no balance. Again, I don't know if that is a negative or not in the wild world of fountain pens. It may be an issue for sketching but I've yet to test that.I'm still not sure if I prefer to be able to post or not, weather I prefer a lighter pen or not or the fact that it is a fatter size barrel shape or not but right now I can say that I'm am enjoying the heck out of this thing and at this price point ($11.99 Canadian) I figure it's a deal. In fact, I'm going to order more so that I can play with other colours as well as waterproof ink to use in sketching - which I'm also brand new at.If you are readint this review then you, like me, are on a budget or are just plain frugal. I figure that going with a better quality pen is, in the long run, a cheaper and more satisfying way to go if you can afford it. On the other hand, if you want to dip your toes into the inky waters of fountain fever, this is a great start. Get a good quality ink (or five) and good quality paper for letter/journal writing (a must, I figure) and you are off to the racesThis is a very cheap pen, I can't report how it compares to a better quality name brand pen and I doubt that it will last decades like it's more expensive brethren but for the money, I'm pretty darned happy. Beware, there are a lot of fun and sexy inks out there and if this clicks for you, you are going to want more than one pen and more than one ink.

I only gave this a 5 star because it is weighted nicely, has a really beautiful case, and seems to be pretty well made, especially for the price. I have small hands and so do not want a heavy, thick pen, but this one seems to fit somewhere in between a heavy Jinhao (I like Jinhao, so that is not a complaint) and a Pilot MR for weight and thickness. The nib seems to be fairly decent quality, which is what really counts. I wasn’t looking for superior for this price. I would buy another.

Easy to use . The shape is perfect for the hand to grip and write . The tip is not flexible but overall it is a good product.
