One of the better record dusters I've seen. Does a great job.

This brush is one of three used in sequence to clean vinyl records in conjunction with a VPI record cleaning machine. The other two are a Osage and a VPI. Each is different and does a different job. The sequence is 1. 1st Clean 2. Rinse 3. 2nd Clean. A final rinse/clean is accomplished in a separate ultrasonic machine. The Record Doctor brush proved to be the best of the three for the 1st Clean. It is soft and multiple rows of bristles help quickly spread the detergent/distilled water solution across the width of the record grooves. It is cleans up easily, is very well made and competitively priced.

Was looking for a more fine bristled brush to wet clean records then a paint brush. They are expensive but specifically indented for LP cleaning so they hit the mark.

Works for dust removal out of grooves very well. If applied properly with minimal surface pressure gets groove dust out better than carbon fiber. Does not shed like carbon fiber. Worth the higher cost. Does add some frictional static if in a arid environment. Good static sleeves and a humidifier remedy this! Great sturdy product!

I purchased two of these brushes, for use when wet-cleaning vinyl LPs. The work great! I'm following the cleaning methodology set out by Neil Antin in the 3rd edition of "Precision Aqueous Cleaning Of: Vinyl Records". These brushes work great with Alconox Liquinox and Alconox Citranox cleaning steps. They are great for agitating the cleaning solution and working back and forth into the groove. They rinse easily and I have not observed any shedding. Not the cheapest, but I think for the purpose, they represent a great value.

So, I don’t want to give the wrong impression at all. This is a really, really nice brush. The size, contour, weight, materials and overall quality and build are totally there. Doesn’t shed bristles and hasn’t left one mark on a record. But…. imho, the bristles should be just a little bit shorter. They are just a TOUCH too long to really have the stiffness I’d prefer to drag the grooves just a little better. It’s the kinda thing that’s tempting to cut down, but then you know it’s just gonna be all janky looking and uneven. And as I said already, it’s a really quality brush, so I don’t wanna disgrace it by modifying it in such a crude way. If you are concerned about brushes scratching your records or want one with very light contact, this is your jam. If the bristles were a little shorter, I’d buy 5. It’s that close for me, but maybe it’ll be perfect for you. Can’t beat the quality. I just prefer a smidgen more stiffness. It would be 4.5 stars if possible.

This brush is meant for wet-cleaning use to spread record-cleaning fluid. It will spread your cleaning fluid on your record and help loosen some of the dust and dirt in the grooves before using a vacuum machine or other method of removal. It does a great job at this. The bristles are soft and pliable enough to not damage your grooves, but firm enough that you won’t accidentally skim the surface of your record with the handle.I purchased this brush to spread cleaning fluid on my records before putting them in my ultrasonic cleaner. It is FANTASTIC.

It was either this or a goat hair type.No reason to regret my purchase. It’s still early but I’m optimistic it’ll be durable and not break down over time.Slightly pricey but if It lasts...Update—-12/6/20It’sa quality brush but the bristles aren’t stiff enough for the washing portion. I’m using a goat hair brush for that and this for migrating the water for the rinse(s). It’s perfect for that. If I ever have to replace it, I’ll buy again.
