I bought these to make the simplest blinking items. Using a coin battery like a CR2032, you just connect the leads to the battery and you are off. I use them in necklaces that I give away at parties. The battery is the most expensive part. Since there is no need for circuitry they are easy to assemble. The LEDs are small (3mm) but very bright. I had no issues driving two off a single battery. I did not include a resistor since these are not meant to last forever.

I've only used 5 so far but all work great.I use them with my dead batteries. When the batteries no longer can run a toy or device these lights still work. I've used a pair of "dead" AAA batteries for 2 weeks 24/7 and still blinking strong.Nice and bright and a good indicator light for projects.

That they are flashers without extra circuitry. There small size and brightness were a plus.

Combined with a resistor and CR2032 battery. I probably could have skipped the resistor, these LEDs are decently low power.Shipping took weeks.
