Actually used this to hold chain on my big ring as I removed my derailleur. Perfect fix for my situation amd should work for it's intended purpose as well without issue.

It broke during installation. It is made of plastic. I wil look for a metal one.

Unfortunately this broke at installation. The clamp is plastic and snapped at the pivot point.

I installed it, and while the general operation and fit was okay, the bracket cracked while tightening the set screw on the distance adjuster.That does not bode well for the first time it gets bumped in a ride.
