Highly attractive dish, great for parties/buffets. It is not, however, a soup tureen, as it is quite shallow.Here are my concerns with the dish:1. The lid is domed with a tall handle. This means, for storage purposes, you can't turn the lid upside down. You will have to find storage space as is.2. The gold holder is not fitted. There is quite a gap all around the outside, The side handles of the casserole dish are what hold up the plate.3. It is a bit shallow.Other than that, this is quite an attractive presentation dish. There are holders underneath for two tea lights to gently warm the dish you are serving.I'm excited to use this for a party!

I needed something that is easy to use, and the handle is convenient for carrying from the kitchen to the dining table.I hand-wash the casserole and ensure it is dried before putting it on its rack. The rack is shiny gold and looks elegant with its beautiful design. It is very well-made, and the pattern looks beautiful. It is stable and keeps the food warm using two tea candles. The clear glass cover is a plus, so when I have guests, they can see the food I am offering. It is mentioned that this is steamer-safe, and I haven't tried it yet, but I am excited to try.
