I have used MAM-Audio.....Gold in the past few years with great success. Although quite pricey they would very seldom fail like so many blank CDs out there. However, that type don't seem to be available anymore. I did find that there was a MAM-Audio...'.Silver' out there after quite a bit of searching. The price was still quite expensive so I thought I was still getting a high quality product. So far I feel that this is not the case. I have received this product only a month ago and have only used 3 of the 50 discs but each one has failed which almost never happened when I used the MAM-.A...Gold. I know that blank CD quality has deteriated over the years but these so far seem like a box store variety for a much heftier price.

I've burned 10 CDs and 2 came back with distortion noise. Not worth the price.

I can only hope that these hold up. I have had not coasters YET. the music sounds adequate. I don't know if the silver dyes are any worse than others. I do prefer the OLD Memorex BLACK, but those are almost impossibel to find now.

Excellent quality approaching professional quality.

If you don't want to buy 100 discs direct from MAM-A, which takes a large bite out of your wallet, and especially if you don't need 100, this is the way to go. Music sounds good on the silver to be sure. But nothing sounds better than the gold discs. Good enough though for most folks.

These discs actually work! Unlike Maxell, Sony, Memorex that don't work at all recently. These discs are awesome

I have recorded on a few of them already, and am happy with the results. Would buy them again.

Sorry, please forget the earlier review I wrote, which was unfavorable to the packaging not the product itself. Using a Dell 1700 workstation with a DVD/CD-R R/W burner I tried making several burns that came to 60:11". The result was always flawed from the first second of playback to the last. There is clearly something wrong with this set and I will never purchase anything called "unbranded" again. In 22 years of burning my own CDs, this is the first time I've had a this problem with multiple discs. They are cheap, but if you need something for a client I suggest you invest in a better product than this - the entire set is literally useless to me for any purpose. My sense is that this group of CDs was flawed during manufacturing. I can think of no other way that all would be damaged without any visible signs even when viewed with back lighting. To be fair the dealer also sent me a set of 74 minute cold MAM-A CDs that work as they should. I'm now trying to arrange an exchange of the this damaged set.I originally wrote the following after receiving a the poorly packaged set. This product is advertised as "spindle" within the name. I've use MMA/Mitsui discs since they first became available. I do not find the gold to be better in terms of longevity. So I bought these advertised as "audio" CDs. However, spindle means a spindle comes with the package - it didn't occur to me to pay much attention to the pics as a CD stack is a CD stack. However, these 50 came wrapped in plastic but not sealed. A lot of dust was found inside as well. I don't like having the CDs rub against each other because there is not a spindle holding them together. I've never been sold CDs configured this way and I won't buy them again.
