We have 75 PSI of water pressure from the City. It also jumps higher, sometimes (80 PSI). Dug down near the Water Meter and installed this PRV on the Main Line to the House. We set it at 50 PSI, measured with a Pressure Gauge at the hose bib. No noticeable water pressure drop in the House but lower pressure is easier on the pipes, Water Heater, and Appliances with water valves, such as a Clothes Washer. For the money, this was money well spent. The only thing we noticed is the Regulator is set at 55 PSI, according to the dial, and the Pressure Gauge at the Faucet shows 50 PSI. The manufacturer says the Dial in the Regulator is accurate so a Pressure Gauge is not required. Does this mean I got a bad one? It works great so I really don't mind that the indicator is off a bit. Another advantage is this Regulator is it's a "Double Union" type. This will allow you to remove the Regulator and replace it without cutting any pipes of having to modify anything. The Regulator is stainless steel and can be also serviced in place. What could be better? This is the BEST!
