My wife loves this step and so do I. I was told it would not fit my Gladiator because of the rock rails. I wanted a step from Carr so I gave it a try. I was able to use all of the Carr hardware. Only added parts needed were a 1/8" by 2" by 2 foot piece of steel and three 1/4-20 x 1" grade 8 bolts & nuts.It looks factory installed and I would not be afraid to put a hook in the step and pickup the Jeep.

There are lots of different steps that you can put on your truck that are really nice-but these and easy to install, and sturdy. These are my go to to buy and install for people on their older work trucks.

They are very sturdy I just misunderstood the post as only one step in the order so I ordered another one

1995 f150 4x4The brackets are a good fit, and bolt holes lined up where it didn’t hit anything. A lot of extra bolts and washers so that is nice for replacing parts if needed. The step itself seems a little flimsy when I twisted it, but held up find when I stepped on it and didn’t feel like it couldn’t support my 200ib weight.Would recommend as a alternative to the running boards that go to the frame.

Steps seem sturdy and installation is simple. But the bolts that attach the mounting brackets to the step are not long enough to use. They provide a 2 1/2” bolt, when a 3” bolt is necessary. Spoke with a rep who checked out the same package and confirmed that it included the same size bolt I was sent. And basically told me, “oh well, your problem, not ours.” I haven’t installed them yet, and have no reason to think they won’t be just fine; but being made to spend time and uber expensive gasoline to drive to stores looking for the right bolts, in addition to their added cost, is unacceptable. In my 60 yrs, I have NEVER until now had a company send the wrong parts and compel me to remedy their error. They could have earned a good review, but essentially indicated that they don’t care.

Easy to install but the directions were a little confusing, I had to figure it out on my own but well worth the money

Instructions are a little confusing, but once I read them a couple times they made sense. Easy to install and look great

I shopped around quite a bit before deciding on a set of these side steps for my 1998 Ford F350. It's a single cab with an 8" lift so I didn't want a nerf bar type of setup. These steps were very affordable compared to anything in stock locally. These steps feel solid and very well built. The black powder coating is thick and smooth, flawless really. It feels very durable, even over the nicely checkered step. The checkering provides great traction even when wet or muddy. The product in no way feels cheap or shoddy.Installation was easy. The instructions were pretty clear and well written and all the required hardware was included. The fit was perfect, no complaints there at all. The silvery box brackets attach to the underside of your cab first. You will need to measure the correct distance from your door jamb and then drill a few holes through the sheet metal. The instructions guide you well in this. A flat, solid steel bar is included which sits on the top of your sheet metal in the cab, and the brackets bolt to this. The bar takes the stress off the sheet metal itself and spreads your weight over a much greater area to ensure there is no way for the steps to strip out or wear through the sheet metal over time. Solid bolts travel from the bar down through the sheet metal and bolt to the underside of the brackets. After the brackets are securely installed,, the black step itself bolts to the brackets. In addition to the main bolts, there are some sheet metal screws included to give additional support. I went ahead and bought bolts and nuts to replace the sheet metal screws but that's because I'm a perfectionist, not because it's truly needed. To summarize, these are high quality easy to install made in america side steps. They're great for a single cab pickup but multiple steps would work fine for a crew cab if you dislike a full length nerf bar. They are half the cost of similar items.

They sent me the wrong one. Twice. Correct box and part number but the wrong step was inside. Took a month and a half to get straightned out. Don't order it. Not amazons fault but the company's. Get a different brand.
