Number one issue: The outside metal is unfinished. It will rust in no time. It has an oily coating which attracts dirt and dust. If you don’t remove the oil and put on a paint coating it will rust and corrode in no time. Other than the finish it works as suppose to.

This was a quality booster, easy to install with minimal effort and the screw was preset to the right depth for my truck. It’s been installed for a few weeks now and I’ve had no problems with it at all. I do wish I would have painted the surface because it has started to get spots of fine surface rust really quick which has not affected functionality but looks a bit ugly. Other than that, I’d recommend to anyone in need of a brake booster.

This cardone booster works and for that it should have 5 stars however its not painted black enamel it looks to be refurbished and the outside casing is simply sandblasted. If you do not paint this first it will just rust under your hood. It would get more stars if the part actually matched the picture.
