I have been playing the guitar for years and I wanted a small travel guitar. I was considering a ukulele, and then I came across this little gem. I considered Martin (I have always wanted a Martin) and other more known brands, and ultimately I decided on this one because the reviews were really good and the package was impressive. I am thoroughly happy with this purchase. The built-in tuner is surprisingly awesome! I didn’t think it would matter much, but I LOVE it. Highly recommend this. The sound is better than I thought it would be - is more classical with the nylon strings and I love that. It has a nice deep mellow sound for such a small body. I haven’t tried it with an amplifier yet. That should be fun. I also want to try with other strings eventually to see what other sound I can get out of it. This thing is so accessible and fun! Can’t go wrong for this price!

First the accessories were not as described. no capo, no extra strings, no picks and no spare bridge pins. The Gig bag was adequate and the the strap and cable were good touches. As was the wrench and bridge pin lifer.I can over look all but the extra bridge pins they should have been there! However the strings are weak and limp after tuning. They were flabby and do not provide good volume. This is a common problem with Guitaleles and the reason that many are tuned A-A insterad f E-E. This may be fixed, I understand with 1/8th or 1/4 scale guitar strings. A set of those will cost an extra $12 or so for good ones. The instrument itself was properly intoned at the 12th fret, up and down the fretboard and sounds pretty good if a bit weak. It may improve as the strings settle but I doubt it. I'll have to change the strings out as in E-E tuning, which is why I bought this, it will need amplification to play along side others. The gloss finish is excellent and beautiful. I have a matching CB-103 Baritone Uke which is a lot bigger voiced and the same string length. (20") The wood on the CG-103 is a lot blonder that my CB-103 but that will allow me to tell them apart easier. The nut width is 1 7/8" or 44 mm. The width between the stings is only 40 mm so I think plenty of room for my skinny fingers. The walnut fret board looks pretty good compared to the rosewood on my CB-103.So for the first day and look. I'm pretty happy, except for the missing bridge pins. I took off a star for the missing items and the weak strings.??UpdateI've had the Guitalele for almost a week now and the strings are starting to feel much better Much less flabby and better tension for easier playing. Starting to make the transition from Baritone to Guitar chords and finding my baritone experience very worthwhile to the Guitalele playing. The two bass strings add a huge amount of depth to the voice and allow alternating bass lines to be played above the chord melody. This instrument has taught me a lot in just a week. Very happy with it.
