I bought these for the hunting safari my husband and I took to South Africa. It was hot so I wore shorts several times. These worked great at keeping the sand, grass, stickers, etc., out of my hunting boots and off my shoe laces.

don't buy unless you just need them for a day or two and throw them away. they will not last. stitching and velcro came loos on both left and right side within 10 days of hunting. washed them and they just fell apart in the washing machine. very poor quality!

My husband is obsessed with these. They're popular in Australia but we live in USA and he uses them for landscaping work. They do NOT allow dirt, grass or any other thing to come into his shoes. He uses them for landscaping when wearing shorts.

Description states Canvas. I expected a much heavier material; just thin cloth. I don't expect them to last very long. Cannot recommend.

Love them, and Canvas is a must for the Sonoran Desert. This was one of the few I could find that were NOT too tall, and were NOT waterproof. We got no water in the Sonoran Desert!

I just wore theses hiking for three days in very thick cheat-grass. Some grass did get into the Velcro. But they held well and kept everything out of my socks and boots.

If you have really thick lower legs, the Large may fit you just fine. They were way too big for my beanpole legs. (I'm male and ~6' tall, size 10 boots, btw.). I returned and received a credit, but paid freight both ways.
