Without a doubt, the easiest printer I have ever set up! You don’t even need the manual, plug in, install paper, turn on, select wireless, pick, enter password, done!And the speed is faster than any printer I have in my business, and I have some high dollar units. This thing is great. Would definitely recommend(if only black and white print is needed)

I read hundreds of reviews on every printer in 200-400 range. This had about 10% of reviews giving 1 star. I think they either had bad luck or are just not tech savvy. It took me less than 5 minutes. Only used for a month and printed 100 pages. Small for a printer like this. I never had a laser before. Love it.If this changes I will repost but awesome so far!Chris

I replaced a 20+ year old Dell 1710n with the Canon and tbh, since postscript drivers aren't normally free, I had to buy an app for my phone to be able to print to the Dell. I'd set my router to reserve an IP address on the wired network, so using the touchscreen to get the MAC address was easy. Went upstairs to my laptop and Windows had already added it to my print devices, magic! Tried using my phone to print a picture, and it required 0 setup, the Canon has the needed protocols for device discovery. Note for other folks, default admin and pin is 7654321. You don't have to setup remote UI, but it does help if you need to check on toner levels from a device.

I am reasonably tech savvy for a non-tech person. I've set up many printers, routers and computers before. I've owned this for 6 weeks and have tried to set it up several times without success. Its nothing but frustrating. I think there is optionality, but I just want to print a page in black and white and can't do that.Type in the user manual URL from the picture and see what I mean.I'm persistent and will keep at it, but at some point - with all the packing materials gone, this may end up in the dump without ever being used.

Next update: 5/17: FINALLY found a phone number to reach tech services! Spent 1 hour, but completed factory reset. Next: connect WiFi. Tried multiple times, finally indicated was connected, but not really. Can’t get out of a loop that wants me to set up a toner restock schedule. At this point I’m DONE and want something different. Amazon return window closed, so probably have to give this away. Terrible waste of time and effort.Nightmare!! While beginning set up, I was locked out so fast I never had the chance to try more such PRINTING a document therefore I have no further comments. I had a lot of documents to print out urgently, so I ordered a little black/white only printer to finish my project. Going to try calling Canon to see if they can help. EDIT 5/13, canNOT reach Canon for help even after joining MyCanon. Nowhere can I find a customer service phone number. Many attempts to fill out the satisfaction survey to alert Canon of a big problem, they just send another survey!! I hope I can return this beast!
