Very well constructed product. Works fine on my 2004 Giant Sedona Dx that I am painting and rebuilding. I purchased the Cane Creek 10 Series Headset which worked fine but I thought I would rather have a steel crown race, so I bought the 40 Series crown race. Nice. This Cane Creek Series 40 Crown race adds but 4 mm at the bottom, and at the top, on the Cane Creek Series 10 adds but 8 mm to my 212mm frame head tube. These interchangeable products are excellent and leaves me with just enough room for my 255 mm steerer tube to sit 3 mm below the cap. No spacers needed. Very smooth turning fork now. I highly recommend this Cane Creek product.

I like the rubber dust seal, my Trek OEM crown race didn't have that. Overall very good quality. Installation was a no brainer, I used a short length of schedule 80 PVC pipe with a slight bevel cut on it's inside radius for a perfectly fitting tool.

Building a bike and replaced the original crown race that came with the Cane Creek 40 headset. Works great, everything is tight, sealed, and protected.

Ideal crown race with the integral plastic shield that helps prevent mud and water from entering the lower bearing. Solid steel construction and great fit and was simple to install. The shield that laps over the joint is the key for me and extends the time between servicing. I highly recommend this crown race.

Went on perfectly and was exactly what I needed. Quality far exceeds Specialized stock. I drove mine on with a piece of PVC for an easy do it yourself.

Fit exact, allowed easier replacement than trying to get race off other fork. I still use both forks, so it allows swapping back and forth. OEM replacement part.
