This OPENER, known as the FRED or Field Ration Eating Device in the Australian Army, is an impressive piece of engineering. It is modeled after the U.S. Army P-38 and was first issued in 1943. Remarkably, it is still in use today. The FRED serves as a versatile tool, combining functionalities such as a can opener, bottle opener, and rudimentary spoon. Ce n’est pas la première fois que j’utilise les ouvre boîtes de cette formes, mais sur ce modèle que je viens d’acheter la tête pointue est très faible et glisse des rebords des canettes et parfois ça fait mal aux doigts.

The lever part broke on the first can. SNAP. CRAZY.Started to use the second one, really bad design. The cut is very jagged, but if you to REALLY slow and done go too much at once, it will work.Oddly, it is used in the opposite direction of old style can openers I have and use, yet this is nowhere as well made. I have one I got at an estate sale years ago that works great, but thought it would be good to have a backup. This product came across my feed so I went for it.I would not recommend this to anyone I like.
