Diagnosed and noticed the stator was bad in my 07 grizzly 700. The battery was not charging and had trouble starting out on the local trails. Noticed other electrical problems started to come up too. Replaced it with this one and so far so good. Took me about 3 hours (making sure the old gasket was removed completely was the biggest pain). I'm now getting correct voltages while idling, and have no issues starting up. Just took the grizzly up to the mountains and had zero issues idling, starting, and running. No leaks from the stator cover after replacing the gasket with the one provided in this kit. Would recommend.

My OEM stator went out in my 1600 miles 2007 Yamaha grizzly 700 in 2023. I replaced it with the caltric kit and the updates 2009+ grizzly 700 stator cover with the additional stator cooling line. If you want to know more about this look it up on YouTube: "grizzly 700 stator update". I have 4 hours on the stator, and it still works and is charging. the coils measured 0.4 ohms across all phases new. I also tested the regulator which tested good. I'm glad to have my machine back up and running.Quality of this product, the connectors and crank pickup seem to match oem quality. The windings are coated, but not coated the same as OEM. I wonder how this will last in a high vibration environment on an atv engine. 40$ makes it worth the shot. My second choice was to go to Rick's stator and get a replacement. I have used them before and had excellent experience and their product is high quality.pretty easy to do. make sure you have the correct allen keys for the water pump outlet. drain oil and coolant first. Of the bolts for the water pump only necessary to remove the lowest one. the rest just attaches the water pump housing the the stator cover not to the engine block.I now have 150 miles on the machine and it still works and charges. Had the battery go dead by leaving the key on. After a jump start the machine charged the battery right up after.

Well after reading the reviews on this product and seeing the price I thought I would give it a try $300 cheaper then OEM works as it should with 150 miles on it guess time will tell but as of now 5 stars !!! Well now I have over 2 years on this project and still working great!!!

I watched an online video to assist in replacing this. Wasn’t a bad project at all just a little time consuming but well worth the savings from taking my grizzly to the dealer.
