You could make your own, however at this price it's easier to just buy them imo. The coax cable is excellent quality, flexible and pliable. BNC termination is well done and heat shrinked. 1/4 end uses spring for strain relief. The only thing I'd like to see is the addition of heat shrink as well as the spring on the 1/4 end. For most applications, I expect these won't take heavy abuse, so it's a minor point.These are extremely handy for doing audio work at the electronics bench, I'm using them to measure distortion and response from mixer panels using tone generators/oscilloscopes/etc.
