we buy this manufacturer's products proven top-notch in every way; these were purchased to mate with their optical cable, soundbar -> tv where the tv bracket obstructs the optical connection that this adapter works perfectly.

These were a life saver for me. After wall mounting my TV, my existing tos link cable did not fit between the TVs port and the all. Insert this adapter and all is well. The swivel action was fantastic which allowed me to align perfectly so nothing was crammed against the wall - behind the TV. I will point out one thing. Much like another reviewer, I was not getting any sound but could see the red light coming from the adapter. I read another review that stated to make sure to feel and hear the pop. YOU WILL NEED TO PUT SOME PRESSURE to properly secure the cable to the adapter. Once I did this, I heard and felt the pop. All works well now.

I bought the Cable Matters 2-Pack Right Angle Toslink Adapters because the weight of the better built Toslink cables cause them to pull downward, which can cause them to lose their connection and stop working. These also will keep you from having to bend the cables too much when you have to get your Toslink devices close to the wall or in tight spaces.I read in other reviews that only 1 in a pack of 2 actually works right with no hassles. That has been my experience as well. I have to move around one of the adapters every once in a while because I will stop working for no reason. For me it's not a deal breaker because I just use that adapter on the easiest device to get to, so when it stops working I can easily fix it. I did order another pack to connect my TV to my receiver. I will update this review once they arrive and I have tested them.For now my suggestion is that if you need 2 adapters, buy 4. These are the higher rated adapters and for the price it's no big deal to me to buy the extras. Reviews on similar adapters are not good at all so beware.

I bought the 2 pack after reading reviews that many have received packages where they bought 1 and it didn't work so they bought another and it did work. Others stated that they bought a 2-pack and one did and the other didn't work. I got lucky because I messed around with both and they both worked out of the box, plug and play, I left the second one on the TV so as to not have to take it off. Both snapped securely into place and neither had any play when seated into the fiber port. Fiber Cable also snapped securely into place and had zero play when in the port on either of dongles. Maybe it is luck of the draw, but my experience has been flawless so I do recommend this product. Saved my fiber cable from damage.

Got these with a Black Squid 3.3 ft to connect a Samsung TV post-mounted on a management shelf/drawer with Sony sound system. I measured the path out and the 3.3 ft cable fitted perfectly if paired with these while also allowing the cable run along the back of the TV rather than be stick out from it.

I got these so that when I hung my TV and sound bar from the wall, the weight of them wouldn't be trying to fold the optical cable against the wall. Was perfect for the sound bar, but wouldn't fit my TV. The reason it wouldn't fit my TV is due to what I regard as a design flaw in my TV and not a flaw in this product (the optical jack is on the back of the TV, which makes no sense on something that will likely be hung from the wall, and recessed in such a way and to such a degree that the angled connection couldn't snap into place because the TV housing was in the way).

this item is made to do one thing. I always worry about making hard turns with optical cables but with such a tight turn at the rear of the television I have no choice but to use these items. the perform as intended and I no longer have a pinched optical cable at the rear of the tv. thanks to the engineers designing things without using brains to consider what happens when the tv is installed on the wall and not just on the few plastic sticks they give to jam into the bottom of the tv as a stand.
