I bought this for my four-year-old daughter - we previously rode with the cart type trailer, but she has outgrown that (she's very tall). So this was the next step in the progression. She has her own bike, but is not a confident-enough rider for long rides. But with this she does great! And with the adjustable heights of the seat and handlebars on this, I'm pretty sure we will use it for years to come. It appears to be of very high quality and I don't expect any issues there. Now, all of that praise being said - this thing is a bit of a nightmare to install. If you are not confident in this type of thing, pay someone to install it for you. The included "Moose Rack" that attaches to the parent bike is VERY rigid, which is a good thing for durability but can make the install difficult depending on your bike. I have a Cannondale Quick CX Four which has disc brakes and seven sprockets, so the frame is pretty wide at the back wheel. The instructions for the Burley show the Moose Rack being installed on the outside of the frame, but this was impossible on my bike and I wound up scratching off some paint trying to do it. What I realized is that, at least on my bike, the threaded holes where the rack attaches go all the way through. This allowed me to install it on the inside of the frame, which took forever due to only being able to do a quarter-turn at a time with the Allen wrench. I'm not sure if this is a "supported" install or not, but I don't see why there would be any stability issues. Once I got past that step, I realized that the two support arms that attach behind and under the seat post HAVE TO BE CUT WITH A SAW! I would up using my jigsaw with a metal-cutting blade, which worked fine, but I would think this step eliminates a self-install for a lot of people. However, once you get past the difficult installation it is very stable and secure. We've only ridden with it a few times, but it's been great. There is some wobble from her pedaling and weight shifting that will take some getting used to, but overall the trailer bike follows the adult bike very confidently. Attaching/detaching it to/from my bike is very simple and you can tell a lot of thought was put into this (patented, apparently) method. My only concern is how easy or hard this thing will be to transport in the car when we're going for a ride on trails or other further away destinations. I'm hoping I can rig something up to get it safely on a standard bike rack, and will report back if I succeed. Also, do yourself a favor and buy the from Burley. The trailer can't stand up on its own and otherwise just kinda flops over on its side leaning on the pedals, so this is the best way to get it off the floor in my opinion.Overall, I love it. Even despite the difficult install and pretty high price tag, I think this is the best available in this class of product and is a great way for bigger little kids to still tag along with their parents.

The bike came with a seat post that was too narrow. Had to go to a bike store and have them help-got a new seat post. Contacted the seller and have not heard anything in 24 hours so consider that a slow level of response. Seller eventually contacted us and refunded us the portion we paid to a local bike store so pretty honest outcome. The ride not as easy to assemble as it seems.

I actually have the Kazoo model.Just had this for one day, but so far so good. The only hiccup I had was that I wanted to attach this to my Firmstrong Bruiser beach cruiser which has no upper rack mounting points. Also, the bruiser's rear frame bars are too big for the included metal straps. What you need is a monostay adapter. I bought the following, which did the trick: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003MNSG8K/ref=cm_sw_r_apa_i_GAMKEb1G95PR2

We love this tandem bike. It installed easily on my electric bike. Very easy to setup and detach. There are no issues with wobbling or side leaning as with other cheaper models. I would buy again!

We initially purchased the Wee Ride because it is so much cheaper, but I felt pretty nervous using the Wee Ride due to its poor handling and wobbliness. Plus the seat post on my bike kept getting twisted by torque when backing the Wee Ride out of our shed. The Burley is much easier to maneuver and a much smoother ride overall. It's easier to start up riding (say when at a stop sign and attempting to cross an intersection), it's easier to turn, and it's easier to back up. Since we are using it every day to drop off and pick my son up from school on somewhat busy streets the higher price of this trailer is worth it for us.

So exciting for my 3.5 year old (he can reach the pedals but not actually turn the cranks)! We can all keep up with my 6 year old now on longer rides.Great quality and so much safer than the seat attached bike trailer. Also so easy to take on and off.It came missing a couple of bolts and burley customer service was super helpful and sent replacements right away.

Easy to install and use. I love how easy it is to attach and detach. It is sturdy and well built but not too heavy.

This has been a great bike for my 3.5 year old who has outgrown a seated trailer. He is tall for his age but is just a couple inches shy of being able to reach the pedals when they are down. He has figured out that he can just keep both feet on the pedals where he can reach and just cruise for now. I'm sure he will be able to help pedal in the next few months.I did a lot of research before deciding to go with this bike because it is so expensive compared to others out there. I ultimately decided to invest in the Burley because of the rack-style attachment. A lot of the information I found on the seat-post mounted styles was that the rider leaned too much, making them feel unsteady. Also, that the adult bike's seat post was likely to twist with the tension of the trailer bike. With the Burley my son feels steady.I went with the Kazoo rather than the Piccolo simply because we do not need multiple speeds. By the time my son will outgrow this bike, my daughter will be ready for it. I'm looking forward to lots of years of use ahead! As others have stated, we did have to use a hacksaw to mount the Moose Rack properly, but overall assembly was manageable.

This looked like the best "tagalong" option for our two grandsons - 3 & 6. The three year old is especially interested in cycling. It hasn't disappointed. It is sturdy, easily attaches to my husband's bike, and has a quick seat adjustment for the 2 boys. Our grandsons live in another state, but they have visited twice since we got the bike in May. They love riding it. We've used it on paved surfaces and an unpaved trail. It has performed well. Next summer we plan on taking the younger grandson on a bike trip. His comment about the bike is, "This is so fun."
