Husband and I were surprised it didn't rip, his 1st time using was an all day Amtgard quest event day. He did some serious action all day and it held up.

Got these for my boyfriend for a renaissance festival and they worked great! I read a lot of other reviews from other companies that men have issues with their calves fitting so I went with these and glad I did. Would recommend for a quick renaissance or pirate costume.

Dont order a size larger than needed because the leg cuffs need to tie like a corset. But overall a comfortable and nice pant

(SECOND PIC IS FROM A COMPETITOR)Finally found what I was looking for! I have been gathering costume pieces for things like going to the Renaissance Festival and running Dungeons & Dragons games (I'm an actor, so I'm sure I'll find other uses for them as well), and had struck out on other pants up to this point. The main issue is that other "renaissance/medieval/pirate pants" in this price range could NOT fit around my calves! They were too tight to comfortably get above the calf up to the knee, and even when wearing them low there was not enough fabric to cover my leg when the bottoms were tied up, revealing either my sock or bare leg. (scandalous, I know!) I've included pictures of both for comparison.Size-wise, these do run small. I'm 6'0" and around 190 lbs and normally would buy a Medium or Large in sweatpants or joggers depending on the brand, but needed an XL in these for a comfortable fit. And as advertised, they do not have pockets. I wish that they did! Black looks as-pictured, hoping that Brown does as well when they arrive (after trying on the Black, I have ordered the Brown in the same size to replace the other brown pants I returned from the competitor). Can't speak to how they'll hold up long-term yet, but I am optimistic that I'll get some good mileage out of them, especially for the price.

I bought these pants for a renaissance faire costume and they were exactly what i was looking for. Light weight but opaque fabric with real laces on the calves and a drawstring elastic waist band. easily adjustable and looks great. absolutely buy these pants.

My son wears a 38x30, is 5'7" and wore these a little low. They're long so they do billow slightly even when not worn low, they were lightweight enough to be cool in summer heat, comfortable for running around a Renaissance festival in for an entire day, and made him very happy. I bought these, what turned out, a size too large and that was my fault for being too cautious. All in all, we're happy with how they were and he will wear them again this year, I'm sure.

As above, so below. Pants are great. Lighty, airy, comfortable, but the exclusion of pockets is just baffling. I get its ren faire garb, but it's also 2021. Just give everything pockets.
