So much better than the little plastic spatula that comes with the machine, and the hook certainly gets under the paper, making it much easier to lift off the mat.

Brother ScanNCut Spatula and Hook set is a must need item, great value for your buck, sturdy and easy to grip and maneuver. It’s a must have and a tool I use all the time with my cutting machines, especially my Brother ScanNCut DX SDX125

I had one already and got another for myself and one for my mom. We make greeting cards and this spatula comes in handy for working with small bits of paper as well as my Brother Scan 'n Cut.

I wasn't sure about spending on these; again, as I mentioned in another review, I somewhat figured I was paying for the name. However, the truth is I find myself using these all the time! Weeding vinyl cutouts is no longer a nightmare. Removing well stuck material from the cutting pad is no longer an issue, something I never thought of before I used Brother's brayer to securely adhere my pieces. However, they go far beyond the ScanNCut: I use them to handle small paper model pieces, and to pick through tiny plastic beads and decorations for dioramas and miniatures. The hook also works great for making crease lines when you lose your bone folder. I'm really happy I decided to get these. They are more helpful to me than advertised, but that's my experience!

I purchased the Brother spatula and hook set to use with my ScanNCut projects. The wider and longer handles on these tools is priceless for anyone who has issues with hand joints. The spatula is perfect and certainly makes quick work of cleaning up your adhesive mat. However, the hook is totally useless when it comes to weeding. The tip is not at all sharp making it impossible to weed projects with small details, and not much better when it comes to projects with large detail. I have since purchased a dental pick to do my weeding, although the thin handle is an issue for me. With a sharper point on the hook, this would be a "must have" tool for anyone who weeds vinyl.

The pic tool has been invaluable! So glad I bought this set, the price was way better on here than in the store, they are asking crazy prices for them. I am very happy with this set and i like that it matches my scan n cut!
