Really like this sound bar. Installation was easy and love the wireless subwoofer. I am using it connected to a Sony Bravia TV and PS4. The TV is connected to the Bose system via the hdmi Arc port. This allows me to control the PS4 and Bose system with a Logitech Harmony remote which is awesome. Just have to use the IR Blaster. The Bose system has an auto calibration headset that actually does a good job adjusting sound settings to the ideal setting for the room it is installed in. Also like using the SoundTouch app to connect to my iTunes library and play my playlists. So all around it’s a great sound bar. I would mention that if you are used to a true 5.1 channel surround with individual speakers this sound bar does not match that quality and that why I knocked off a star. Still very happy with it and would recommend it. Also something that used annoy me is when you turn on the soundbar it doesn’t default to a specific input. I have found that if I set the hdmi-Cec setting to Alternate On that it will start on the input I want it to so try that if you run into this issue.

Bought this system last year in march. Worked well I was really happy with it until the sub-woofer stopped working. I tried resetting the system but it just does not connect. Very Frustrated and disappointed in Bose reliability. I researched on this and found this is a known and fairly common problem. I am surprised Bose has not released a fix for this issue. Beware of this when you BUY this system, its not cheap and will be a frustrating experience.Update I bought Asurion protection plan for this system and that's another disappointment, save your money and stay away from this system and Asurion protection plan...

Bose as usual delivers an absolutely outstanding sound system. The surround sound from the sound bar is awesome but bizarre and often times you think the sounds are coming from somebody else in your room rather than from the tv. Not the cheapest sound system but probably your best bet for your money for a mid range home theatre system.

My first sound bar system and I'm very happy with my purchase. I visited a Bose store in San Francisco for a demo and the SoundTouch sounded great, but it sounded even better at home with the acoustics of my small apartment. Set up was easy and took under 20 minutes. Most of the time was spent calibrating, which was fairly quick and not really painful at all. The universal remote is user-friendly and took no time to sync with my cable/sat service. Users are able to adjust quite a few settings manually (bass, treble, center, voice / dialogue enhancements, etc.) which has been a nice feature. The bass is rich and adds enormously to the movie watching experience compared to my TV speakers. Soft dialogue is picked up and heard clearly as well. It does leave some to be desired with regard to virtual surround sound, but can be supplemented easily enough with the SoundTouch 20 music system that can be linked via bluetooth. I like the Bose SoundTouch app for playing music using my Iphone as a remote for the soundbar, but I do get an occasional error due to the software not being able to update for some reason, and it doesn't allow Pandora to work.Otherwise, this has been a great system so far.

I just purchased this system for my family room after reading the great reviews and hearing the incredible sound quality at the Bose store. I replaced out a 20 years old system I had put together that consisted of an Onkyo AV Receiver, Bose 501 tower speakers, JBL center, surround and powered subwoofer. Sort of a Frankenstein system that at the time cost me over $2000 back then! Portions of my old set-up were component video and not HDMI. The sound quality was no longer crisp and clear and was rather muffled. I knew it was time to move up to the 21st Century !! I hooked up this new Bose system with ease... nothing but HDMI cables, so easy, so intuitive and I knew right away, I was going to be very impressed. The sound bar with wireless sub-woofer is a marriage made in heaven !!! The difference in audio clarity and quality was incredible and I couldn't wait to watch an HD movie on it. There is really nothing to really tune on this system unless you want to tweak it. I clicked up the bass 2 notches to my taste and that is it !! PERFECTION to my ears !!! Later in the day I downloaded the SoundTouch App to my iphone and now I can listen to my playlists and iHeart Radio on this great sound system !! I added this new BOSE system to my Harmony Universal remote so now I control everything on one remote !! I have a smaller Bose system in the bedroom, Bose speakers on my computers, and a Bose wave radio in the kitchen. There is a REAL difference, you pay more, but for sure you get much more in my opinion. My only sadness is that Bose lowered the price 10%, 2 days after I bought it !!! That's life !!

Great system and sound. I never wanted a sound bar, but after being in the market for a decent surround sound system for a few months, liking Bose but not wanting to spend $3500 on a full system, I went to a Bose outlet, I didn't see a huge enough difference from this system to the $3500 7.1 they offer. Is there a difference? Sure. Is it a $2k difference. Not to me. Received it quickly as usual from prime. Set up was reasonable at about an hour for full set up and calibration. Provides great sound, volume goes to 100, average TV watching I keep it andndbout 35, if you want to really experience a movie, 50 is great and loud, I can't imagine ever needing to go higher.
