This is like a ribbon of sandpaper to take the hardened plaque off the sides of your teeth. It will not slide between teeth that are close together and it isn't meant to go below the gum line. There are 3 packs: fine, medium, and coarse. Start with the fine and be gentle. When I ordered it, I thought it was a different kind of floss. It isn't. It's a replacement for the pointy, metal dental pick that you use to scrape the tarter off your teeth. This product is safer than the pick because it will not poke your gums and make them bleed. It is not meant to be used every day like floss. It's way too abrasive for that. Just use it on the spots that floss isn't removing.

My wife is very happy to get the Dental Polishing Strips Rolls. She used to be a dentist's assistant and knew that Dental Polishing Strips could improve her brown teeth, but for a long time she couldn't get them. The dentist told her, "The only way to fix it is to grind them down." Now she is really happy with Dental Polishing Strips. She highly recommends them.

This set of dental polishing strips is like thin strips of sandpaper for teeth, to compare. The width of the roll is smaller than the width of the white out roller, to compare. The rolls are well marked with the grit numbers as well as marked fine, medium or coarse. One photo in the listing at the time of this review- is a bit peculiar - in my opinion. It shows the user starting with yellow teeth and ending with white teeth. These strips are not made to use on the surface of the tooth. The is made to get between teeth and help to remove the plaque that can build up, especially at and just below the gum line. It can help smooth a rough gap that shreds the dental floss or they can smooth a chipped tooth. My opinion on the chipped tooth would be to only smooth it enough that it doesn’t cut unto the gums or tongue - then let the dentist finish the details.I think this is a great product to have on hand and it works well for the purpose I chose it, I had a filling that was rough and an area always shredded the dental floss. Now it is smooth and doesn’t shred the floss. Just a few passes between the teeth, 2 in each direction with the fine - yellow polishing strip - and it’s done.
