If your saddle has a hook near the front you can use it. It's nice to be able to drop the reins for a second and not have to worry about losing them

This is great for little kids while riding....as much as we don't want them to, they do get distracted and this is a great safety to make sure they don't lose their rein :)

Works great but the main ring gets Corroded with horse sweat. Spring stops working.

My friend is NOTORIOUS for letting her reins go while on trail rides...it’s a bad habit and has gotten her in some rough spots a few times...I bought her this for her birthday and IT IS PERFECT. I will likely buy one for myself for drill team riding as we generally ride with flags and drop reins by accident sometimes.

The booma rein does what it suppose to do. It's a safety thing for me. As to how long it will last, I guess it depends how well one takes care of his or her equipment.
