Very sturdy and great for both indoor and outdoors. I'm currently using it to get to my hanging pots and other items that are up high where I can extend the pole as needed.

Not a very durable product. Rusts up quickly when exposed to salt water. I would not buy it again.

I was initially skeptical because of so many pieces, but this pole is rock solid at full extension! It's not terribly heavy so it's easy to use.The only thing I'd caution about is that this is not a telescoping pole, so you can't adjust on the fly. If you're comfortable with your boating skills and know what length you need, you can easily prepare beforehand, separate it into two halves until you need it, then quickly & easily reconnect them.If you're not that confident OR you operate in frequently changing conditions (wind, current, tide, etc.), you're probably better off with a telescoping pole. Or, because of the light weight, you can use it at full length all the time (just watch out for anything or anyone that might be in the way!).

I bought this as a spare boat hook and it may shortly become my primary boat hook. The boat hook tip screws onto the head rod with the same threads used for paint roller brushes etc. Each tubing section screws onto the adjacent section with threads in the tubing. Unlike many other boat hooks which you twist to lock, it cannot slip like the internally tightened boat poles when pressure is applied or they get old. They may have taken a page from IKEA in that it breaks down into very small sections. Well donePro's0 Versatile- the two head rods can be used to extend a roller brush when painting the bottom or a deck brush that has threads in the head.0 Since two rod heads are provided you can have a shorter boat hook and another pole for the deck brush0 Easily stowable below, in a cockpit locker or a small cubby when broken down. This makes it an easily stowable spare boat hook when your other one goes for a swim or worse a permanent dive to Davey Jones locker0 Comes with a nice nylon bag with a drawstring for stowing all the pieces0 Tubing is thin strong Stainless Steel with no magnetic properties, indicative of good quality SS0 Would make a nice gift for a friend or family member with a boat. One boat hook is never enough!Con's0 Takes a few minutes to screw the sections together so needs to be put together in advance of docking maneuvers.Buy the longer one and just use less sections if you want a shorter boat pole/hook
