I wanted to raise my handlebars on my Trek Domane as I'm no spring chicken. This is a reasonably light stem and the 35 degrees raises the bars quite a bit. Fits and installs easily. Solid quality aluminum stem. Price is quite good.

I have a super annoying habit of over-cranking bolts to the point where they break, especially when it comes to anything related to the handlebars. I think it comes from riding BMX bikes as a kid and having the handlebars slide on me after a jump or a wheelie. Man, I hated that. Still do. Anyway, this stem is a replacement for one where I did exactly that, and got tired of trying to find suitable screws of the same style and size. I also specifically wanted one I could switch out without having to remove the hand grips and a basket I have that is really nice and convenient to use but a total pain to attach over the handlebars. This fit the criteria.I like the 4 bolts on the faceplate part of the stem. I've had ones that were 2 bolts on the face or even 1 underneath, and I remember thinking: man, my life is dependent on that 1 small bolt not breaking (ok, maybe not "my life," but definitely my safety) and those thoughts are less than ideal when you're flying down a hill.I included a picture because I, personally, have a hard time visualizing how it's going to look on the bike in regards to the degree of the angle and length, so I'm sure others do too. This one is 90mm and 35 degrees. In retrospect, I wish I would have gotten one a little longer with less of a rise, but overall it's very nice and I'm happy. I'm also tired of working on my bike instead of riding.
