I know better cable sets might feel smoother, have more extra parts, better packaging. This was reasonably priced and works fine, holding up so far and way better that the rusted out old cable set that I needed to replace.

I'm a shade tree mechanic.50+ years messing with bikes.This kit fit my 29 in. ASTRA CRUISER ( a large beach cruiser) with no issues.Taking my time, I was back on the street in an hour.Quality is as good as the rest of the bike.I greased the cables lightly. It's just what I do.It's nice to have a good set of brakes.

Really happy with this purchase. My youngest's bike had a front brake cable that had broken and needed replacing, so I figured I'd give it a shot and see what I could do to fix it. This was my first time doing this kind of repair and cutting a new cable to length and whatnot, and I was surprised by how straightforward it was. The kit had everything I needed, the process was straightforward, and now the front brake now works right for the first time in years.

These cables are good and the housing is good. Just make SURE you pay attention to the two different lengths. The sorter is for the front and longer for rear and there was nothing in the packaging to remind of you of that. I wouldn't kill them to add a small piece of paper to the packaging reminding the user there are two different lengths of cable; Longer for read and shorter for front.
