The smaller size are harder to tie on for old tired hands, however, they seem to work the best!

My dad and I ordered a handful of these assortments, so I’ll just leave a review on this one.Don’t expect to get exactly 3 of each size - some of our boxes were almost spot-on, but others were way off. The box of these BH Princes were (from what my gauge says) 4x size 10, and 8x size 12, no 14s, 16s, 18s at all.Another box was 3x 18, 3x 16, and 6x 12, no 14s. Stuff like that. Flies from different batches/styles, etc.For the price it’s still a great deal, and they seem decent quality (will try them out in a couple weeks), but if you’re wanting exact sizes probably not the best.Still, can’t pass up the price even though I didn’t get any Princes small enough for the trout I’ll be fishing this season. Maybe I’ll just need to find bigger rivers!

I used these on the alpine lakes in the eastern high Sierras with a regular poll jigging under a bobber and caught many brook trout. They work great

Nymphs look average. We'll see how they hold up once I get a report from my son. I purchased these as a gift and like many of you did read some reviews. One review mentioned that the purchaser only got 11 not 12 as specified. All I can say is if you want to pay the price for 11 go ahead. Not only did my first order come with only 11, but when I called to say this was a gift and I want it replaced, the second shipment also came in with 11. So be aware you may be paying for 12 but only get 11.

While tying on the smallest of the assortment of these flies, the sizes look great BTW, some tugged my line embedding this little fella right into my finger. It sounds counter intuitive, but if you are going to hook yourself, use the largest flies, try as I might, the smallest fly was too complicated to remove on the spot as my trusty multi-tool wasn't precise enough to undress the fly with that wire wrapping, and the wire cutter couldn't get close enough to clip the barb even if I could undress it and push the barb out. I've got to say, very sharp, I bet these land fish!Beautifully made though very eye catching, finger catching too!

Caught several Rainbows last week in northern New Mexico. These nymphs did well and stayed together after hours of casting.

Caught a nice little 12" rainbow on the #16 drifted under an indicator yesterday on the first cast. I'm fairly new to nymphing, so this is promising. It's hard to find flies under $1/ea that are tied even moderately well, so I was pleasantly surprised. They're no perfection fly like you might find in a fly shop, but you also aren't paying for that either. Saw someone say that they're too small. Nymph patterns are immitations of insect larva. They're gonna be small. Being so small, I advise pinching the barb, otherwise you might not get your fly back, or you might end up killing the fish. Overall, great value for what you get and a great option to point beginners to to help fill up their fly box. It's also nice that I can hand a couple of these out to struggling newbies and not feel like I just gave em nearly $10 in flies

Great assortment at a great price. Flies are good quality and last while being fished. This is the biggest flaw of cheap flies. They unravel and turn to junk quickly.
