This solid wood corbel is made from two pieces of wood glued together. It's roughly 7" x 4" and a little over 2" deep -- so kind of on the flat side for a corbel but nothing crazy. The carved floral design and scrollwork is beautifully done; there's a nice sanded smooth, raw finish but it could use a little bit of sanding along some ragged edges. Oddly, there are two little holes at the top. Not sure what they're for, but they can be concealed with wood filler if they bug you.The back is flat with no hanging mechanism but a little metal sawtooth hanger could simply be nailed into place. I'm not sure whether to paint it white, stain it or just add dark wax. It's nice to have something made of real wood as opposed to resin these days. It's really a beautiful little piece.

Wellmade but ridiculously small....and without any hook or element to hang it on the wall.
