I wanted a vise that would mount to the small garage workbench. I was skeptical about how well it would stay attached and about the quality. All of those criteria were met, and more. Great design, value, and quality.

The bracket to attach the vise to your workbench has a fixed maximum, relatively small. A'ready returned it so I can't say how small. So to me it was worthless.

tried this thing out yesterday - must say it was great in holding my chainsaw to be sharpened - used the soft grips that were suggested to go along with it - worked perfect paired up that way - wish I had found this earlier - thanks !!

It looks like a solid piece of equipment, but it came rusted. You should do a quality check before packing and sending it off to a customer.

Is it a perfect vise? No. Is it great value for the money? Yes. It's plenty sturdy for gunsmithing and is a heavy apparatus. My only complaint is that the lever to tighten the rotating head into chosen position is too small and far too difficult to un-tighten bare handed once hand-tightened into place
