My husband has a bit of an obsession with Vikings, so when he saw this Handmade Scandinavian Warrior Military Belt Buckle, he was absolutely thrilled. He’s always on the lookout for unique Viking-themed pieces, and this buckle really caught his eye. While I would have loved to buy him a real silver buckle, the price for that was a bit steep, especially considering this was his first large buckle purchase. So, we opted for the German silver version instead, and I’m really happy with that choice.The buckle itself is fantastic. It’s heavy, sturdy, and has a solid, quality feel to it. The craftsmanship is excellent, and it has a true Viking aesthetic that my husband loves. It’s definitely a statement piece that looks great and adds a rugged touch to any outfit.However, the belt itself didn’t quite work out as easily as I’d hoped. My husband picked a thicker belt to go with it, but unfortunately, there are no sizing options for the belt, and while he’s a big guy, he’s not overly large. We ended up having to buy a leather punch and add a few extra holes ourselves to make it fit properly. This gave me a newfound appreciation for leatherworkers—my punch holes are definitely not perfectly spaced or centered, but it works!So, while the buckle itself is great, the belt didn’t come with as much flexibility as we’d hoped. If you’re getting this, I would definitely recommend checking the belt size carefully, or being prepared to modify it to fit. That said, the buckle is definitely worth it and makes a fantastic addition to any Viking collection.
