My ATF pan was leaking after i used permatex right stuff and did my best to make a gasket. Perhaps i need more practice, and plenty of people do fine with the goops out there, but this thing is the bomb!! My leak is GONE. I did not want to buy the other gasket on here for our transmissions, its cork. This gasket is a serious rubber, and i imagine you can reuse it a few times for servicing or fluid changes.This is the gasket to get!!! (Free screen assy too!)

I have a 2003 Subaru legacy. Although I didn't really need the screen, I installed it along with the new gasket. The manufacturer actually says you can use sealant. But, the gasket fit well and is working fine. There are no leaks so far.

The filter seems to be well made, but it doesn't fit in the 2005 Forester XT (Turbo Model). The gasket did fit perfectly and that is why I am not returning this product. Hopefully it will not leak for a reasonable amount of time. I really don't want to use the "Make a Gasket" type of products because it makes a pain to remove the oil pan.

Fits great! Definitely change the strainer instead of cleaning it, the one I removed had debris stuck in the mesh that wouldn’t come out.

Bought this for my 2000 Subaru Impreza RS 2.5 After I managed to drain the remaining trans fluid on the driveway, I cleaned the pan and measured the gasket. To my relief, it was a perfect fit. I carefully removed the filter fasteners (keep them in order, they are different lengths), and replaced the included filter. Took my time to sequentially tighten the filter and pan bolts. Tip: place pan gasket in place and install all bolts before installing. The new gasket will hold the bolts and will ensure that the pan gasket seats evenly.I filled, started and ran through the gears per the book in the glove box.No leaks and great performance.
