I knew this maple blank had some chatter but not to the level of what I received. Planing blank would have reduced the final size below 2 1/4". Had to fill gouges and chatter as best as possible just to get two opposing sides to look good enogh to paint. Personally, I have thrown out better pieces of wood as scrap. Very disappointed with product given it price.
