At first, two of five LEDs didn't work at all, red and orange was defective. Contacted the seller and they reply and gave a solution really quick, they would replace the defective ones.In general the LEDs are good and they are bright.

These were perfect for my application, and a very good price, but the blue one burned out after a few days of intermittent use. So I bought a replacement set, but the same thing happened again about a week later. It could be there's a problem with my 12V power supply, I suppose, but none of the other LEDs in the set burned out. In fact, what I eventually ended up doing was using the white LED with the blue plastic screw-on cover, and it's been working fine for a couple months now. Not quite as blue as the original blue LED under the same cover was, but at least it hasn't burned out like the two blue ones did.

All god and on time

I was whipping up a status board to be controlled by a retro-computer I was working on, and wanted lamps larger than single LEDs. I went looking here on Amazon, and found these. You buy the set of five lamps in five colors (Red, Green, Yellow/Amber, Blue, White), and they work out to roughly $1.50 each, quite affordable.The visible part of the lamp, the lens, is about 1.125" (27mm) diameter. The overall length from front of lens to rear of housing is about 2" (5cm). The lamp fits through a mounting hole on the panel big enough to clear the approximately 0.85" (22mm) diameter.The lens is removable (it simply unscrews), and behind it is a removable white plastic diffuser that blends the light from the LED(s) to appear like a continuously even illumination. The lamp assembly is mounted in its panel hole by use of a screw-on compression ring from the rear. There is no gasket or any kind of seal, either where the lens unscrews (oil or water can easily wick into the inside of the lamp assembly from outside the panel), or behind the lamp bezel where it meets the panel (oil or water can easily get inside your panel through the lamp opening). So these lamps are NOT a good choice for industrial environments, or outdoors, or anywhere wet.I don't know what kind of plastic the lamp housings and lenses are made of, but at this price point I very much doubt they will stand up to any kind of solvent or many oils, and might also degrade in direct sunlight, and might discolor or disfigure if placed in hot locations. The lens looks like it will scratch upon contact with almost anything other than soft fabrics.The lamps are designed to be powered from 12V, AC or DC (either polarity). They have various number of discrete LEDs for each lamp color; they are not all the same. For example, the Yellow/Amber lamp uses six LEDs, while the Blue and White use a single LED; I did not check the other two colors for this. The LED(s) colors DO match the lens color, so a Red lamp has Red LED(s) and a Red lens, etc; you cannot mix the lenses between lamps of other colors.To my eyes, the five lamp colors appear to be fairly consistent brightness. On a 12VDC regulated laboratory power supply, I measured the following currents:RED = 8mAGRN = 17mAYEL = 6mABLU = 38mAWHT = 17mASo, a fairly diverse set of currents required to get consistent apparent brightness. Of course, you don't have to worry about this, since the currents are set internally inside the lamps, so all you need to do is supply roughly 12V, and I would recommend that your power source PER LAMP be good for at least a conservative 50mA. Of course, if you are just going to use the lamps that require less current, your power supply does not need to be as powerful.Although not necessary for safety on such low voltage, these lamps DO come with snap-on plastic safety covers over the two wiring screws. The covers are colored coded to match the lamp color, a nice touch that can help with wiring the lamps from the rear of a panel.Compared to industrial NEMA 4X oiltight lamps that I normally use on my job, these lamps are VERY 'cheap'. I don't know if they even really qualify as 'commercial' grade. But for a lot of non-critical indoor applications, they will be fine, and they do have an attractive, clean look to them.Criticisms:- The thin solid wires from the internal circuitry simply extend out the rear of the housing through tiny holes, and are electrically attached to thin metal (tinned copper, I think) contact plates; the wires are not trimmed or cut off at this point, and extend perhaps 5mm beyond into the area where you will be inserting your wiring....they just sort of crumple up there awkwardly.- The heavier metal clamping plates rest on top of those contact plates, and the clamping screws pass through holes in both plates; the screws appear to just thread into the plastic housing behind the plates, so be careful how much torque you put on the screws when tightening them. You stick the wiring (stripped of insulation) between the contact plate and the clamping plate, and tighten down the screw to compress the wire between them, hopefully making a good mechanical and electrical connection. In practice, when I tightened the screws to the point where they felt tight, my wires could easily fall out; this is because with the screws threading into plastic, they feel tight before the compression on the wire is actually tight enough. Better quality lamps would have the screw threading into a tapped hole in a metal plate behind the other two. Also, better quality lamps would have knurling (raised ribs) on the contact plate as well as the clamping plate to better grab the wiring; on these lamps the contact plate is smooth (and very thin) metal.- The clamping plates are a little too small for the square plastic chamber they rest inside; when you loosen the screws, the clamping plates rotate (they should not), and when tightening down on the screws after inserting your wires, the clamping plates tend to rotate into some random orientation that might not clamp your wires very well.- I would not trust these in any application with a lot of movement or vibration.Still, for lamps that are only about $1.50 each (instead of $50-$80 each for industrial grade ones, or $25 each for commercial grade ones, these offer a very decent compromise.I have attached a lot pf photos taken of one of the Yellow lamps, from all perspectives, some with dimensions.

Good quality, bright, low energy consumption and good price

These are great. Work on both AC & DC current. Rated at 12 volts but they work on my 6 volt transformer, however I haven't check the the voltage. I'm sure its high than 6 v.

Nice lights, even glow.

These were a bit bigger than what I was looking for, but I knew that due to the specs listed. What I wanted was something that wasn't blindingly bright, like many leds seem to be. I hooked these up to an old 12v transformer that put out 18v with no load. They lit up well and were nice and even and not overly bright. They are subtle under bright garage lights. The price was great along with getting 5 colors, so it was a perfect fit for my project. I haven't installed them yet, but so far they meet my expectations.

Very impressed. The lights are bright and efficient. They fit well in my instrument panel and they were easy to wire.
