I like sling bags because they are ergonomic and distributes the weight better without affecting the shoulders and neck. The pockets are in front for easy access. However I had to get used to the "look" of it on my chest. Regular crossbody bags put weight on one side and can still cause pain on my shoulder/neck.Susan R.'s review helped me choose the Baggallini Daytripper. And I'm grateful. It is just the right size. And the pockets hold all my essentials. It does have security locks which I don't need but I don't have to use it. The strap is adjustable but not very long. And the pocket on the back zips from the left. That is a little odd. The portobello color is neutral and non obtrusive.I tried the essential sling and the size is just right. But it has a non-adjustable stap, which is a deal breaker.The mini is a little too small. I could fit all my essentials but it was cramped. And when you put all your essentials in it, it becomes heavy like a bowling ball. The blue color was very nice though. And the strap was adjustable and long.I was also looking at the Securtex three pocket sling but it extends out a little too much and has a backpack look.I did order and keep a Vera Bradley cotton sling. It is a little larger, fits all my essentials easily. I love the pocket in the back. But it has no key strap. If this sling was a little smaller it would be perfect. The climbing ivy is a great color, a pretty green.I'm done shopping for a sling! It was a workout!😆

The Portobello color is wonderful and will go well with everything I have in my wardrobe. My only concern will be to avoid staining this lighter color. I usually choose a dark navy or black for my bags but I hated the idea of wearing a dark ‘“blob” across my chest. A dark crossbody bag on my side is acceptable but not something which covers my front. The bag itself is definitely to be recommended ….a good size which is sufficient to hold the daily essentials when in crowded untrustworthy situations and offers well thought-out pocket features, smooth running zippers and strong clips. I chose this bag for its anti-theft protection as well. A trip to Japan in May is in the works but I read recently that major tourist attractions have been the scenes where tourists are being targeted by pick-pocket thieves. This sling which comfortably hugs closely to the chest and has all the anti-theft features will offer peace of mind. It also may accompany me on my European trip later in the year, although the countries and cities visited there will be safer than many others.

After a TON of online research and then successive orders for 5 sling bags from 4 different makers, this bag is the winner, beating out (in the second place) the Baggallini Central Park Sling. They are identical in size and have very similar features. I actually didn't much care about having anti-theft features, so for me the stand out features in the Daytripper are all in design and function.The top quality in my mind is that the Daytripper is one of the tidiest sling bags I've seen (unless you go for the utter simplicity of sleek leather lozenge). Despite the narrow profile, it holds quite a lot. The metal zippers appear neat and work smoothly, the strap is well designed and easy to adjust (unlike some), and the key strap is positioned as it should be (on the Central Park sling, inexplicably, it's attached at the bottom of its compartment, so you still have to fish around a bit). I would love to have had a dedicated water holder, but that would certainly mess with the look. You can fit a narrow one that's not too tall in the main zippered compartment, even with a pair of sunglasses in a bulky case. I also carry regular glasses in the dedicated felt-line front pocket and love that I don't need a case for them. My phone needs to go in the back zipper compartment, against my body, but it's quite easy to retrieve - and it won't certainly fall out.Baggallini bags (which I've been buying for 30 years) used to have great colors and color combos: I've had dark grey with hot pink inside, lime green with bright blue, dark brown with orange; those were all large totes so the insides were more visible and it also made it easy to find things inside all that volume. I got this sling in Thyme and it's fine, but most of the colors are pretty boring now.

I qualify this by saying I have not yet used this. I will update after I do. I will be traveling out of the country and was looking for a good size sling bag that had RFID (this does), was big enough for essentials such as a small umbrella and water bottle, but stays fairly flat to the body so it can go under a jacket or coat. This will. It has some good security features on the zippers and the strap is adjustable as well as being slash resistant. I got the color gray which is my go-to for matching on a trip. It is heavier than I expected which is probably due to the slash resistant features. I would buy this again based upon what I'm seeing. I had purchased another one from a different brand which I'm sending back.

I haven’t actually used it yet, but bought it for an upcoming trip. It seems perfect!! I love all the anti theft features, I feel secure!! It also holds a bit more than the crossbody bag I just bought for a previous trip, yet doesn’t seem too big. Yes, I am a Baggalini fan!! There seems to be one for every need!!I do want to mention that this bag does have 3 credit card slots. None of the pictures show it, nor is it mentioned in the description. I was very happy because I was planning on using them as most of the Baggalini’s I have contain credit card pockets.

I love how this purse fits against me so it is not too loose. Lightweight and the color was a bit more plum than red as the picture shows. But that’s ok. It is pretty. I love how the zipper locks so pickpockets can’t get in. This will be my new go to. The size is small but I don’t carry a whole lot.
