My Kohler Command Pro 20 hp twin engine quit charging. The stator wasn't putting out any voltage, so I purchased this stator & regulator pack. It's an exact fit, but you need to remove the flywheel and other parts. After assembling it still didn't charge, and I found that the regulator body wasn't grounding: some corrosion I guess. I just added a short jumper ground wire, and problem solved!

Kohler command 15 hp cv426s I believe. Perfect replacement. Flywheel popped off pretty easy with air wrench and puller tool. Spliced the wires with wing nuts and put it back together in well under an hour. So nice to have spark when I start and to have my battery stay charged!

Accidently ran a bolt through my flywheel assembly and it rattled around and chewed up the stator... straightened it out but it kept blowing fuses after. With this replacement kit, all cleared up.
