After I received them I tried them out right away and the speakers only swayed a little bit when I put then on the 5th inserts, the highest the stands can go. So I put some electrical tape around the ends of the stands and that made the speakers fit a little tighter. The materials are mostly hard plastic, not flimsy at all. I think these are good stands for the money and I left the speakers on the stands 3 hours just to see if anything might happen like falling over or collapsing. The stands held the speakers in place no problem.

I like the orange legs. Makes them easier to see and not trip over. I've got Peavey SP2 speakers that are about 80-90 pounds each and they sit stable. I lay the speakers on the ground on their side, insert the stand at the desired height then lift the speaker up. Easy.

I use these for both band and dj events and they hold up wonderfully. My only quip would be that the bags they come in are a little flimsy, but the quality of the stands makes up for it.

I've owned a coup!e of different stands for various speaker types and sizes. These tripods can handle rather heavy speakers, currently I'm using Mackie 12 Thumps and these stands keep them up and straight, no tilts or sliding down of the pole because of the speaker weight. The separate canvas bags are a big plus many other stands have plastic carrying bags which always rip or tear. Also dig the orange legs makes these stands stand out

very nice set of stands. I consider them light weight/easy to carry. They each have their own bag. The orange/red legs do help protect people from tripping over them. That is a major bonus. Great value.
