We needed a taller seat in speed boat to see over boat when kids are tubing. This at the lowest height does the trick. I have never replaced a seat before but this base was smaller than my original…note to self check before ordering next time. Came on time and in tack.

Just installed this on my boat. We replaced our back to back seats with Captains Chairs. Drivers side last year and passenger this year with the same pedestal. This pedestal holds a 300lb person no problem. Easy to install. If there is one negative- It should come with mounting screws.

My husband had a little trouble getting it set up because he had to remove the panel on the boat floor but once he got it set up, he loves it.

It fails to do its main job. Does NOT hold the height you adjust it to. It depends on plastic tension to grip the pedestal up. So anyone over 100lbs will cause it to sink all the way down in a few hours of boat riding.

Yes Atwood makes a lot of boat product's, some iffy stuff, but not this boatseat pedestal! This one doesn't shift of sink on its own, solid and adjustable were you need it. The instillation is straight forward and logical design. I've purchased a dozen of those gas operated junker's, this one is perfect, sturdy, and will outlast me, can't say that about most pedistil seat mounts.

Would never hold height adjustment, and consistently sink back down. Handle locked up, couldn’t loosen back up. Finally beat the crap out of it with a hammer, drilled my own hole, and shoved a 3 1/2” case hardened bolt through it. Works good now, 5 stars! I’d buy this piece of junk again!
