I don't know what part that picture is for, but the cable I bought was fabricated almost entirely out of plastic. I bought it sometime last summer but didn't get my car running until late february this year, so I haven't even been using this part for two months and since I started using it, the plastic casing near the threads at the transmission end split (which doesn't really affecting anything) but on the other end... the hook separated while I was driving. It's not worth buying a cable that can't withstand the forces of daily driving.
