This adorable, right-handed acoustic ukulele combines a solid okoume neck with a basswood body to deliver amazing sound with richer, brighter, and warmer tones perfect for playing island-inspired Hawaiian tunes.
High-quality craftsmanship: This uke may have "beginner" in its name, but do not let fool you. This ukulele has been designed with plenty of upgrades including, Italian Aquila Nylgut strings, a walnut bridge and fingerboard (fretboard), Ox Bone nut and saddle for superior string vibration transfer, open geared tuners, and an expertly finished headstock.
Smooth, seated frets: The well-finished, walnut wooden fretboard is smooth to the touch and is lined with precisely seated frets and fret marks. These frets have been finely-manicured to allow you to play freely and not be scratched. The fingerboard on this uke has been designed to be easily navigated by small hands, whether playing chords or single notes.
Aquila Super Nylgut strings: Ashthorpe's ukulele arrives with Aquila Super Nylgut strings pre-installed. These premium nylon strings are soft and smooth to the touch, perfect for fingerpicking or strumming with a pick. Like most string instruments, the new strings will be out of tune: this is normal. After playing for a few days, these soft-playing nylon strings will naturally stretch. Once the strings have finished stretching, they will begin to stay tuned.

The Ashthorpe Soprano Ukulele was a wonderful Christmas gift for my daughter! The two-tone design is beautiful and the 21-inch size is perfect for beginners, making it easy for her to handle and learn. The ukelele is small but seems to be made well. It needed only to be tuned which was easy with Youtube. The instrument is just right for my 5 year old grandson. Great introduction to guitar playing.!!

Bought three of these for kids Christmas presents.They sound ok. Bags are decent.Have stood up to rough handing from the youngest and the teenager who has been playing a year or so likes it for traveling and taking to the park.Could use better strings and would prefer that to picks and microfiber cloth but it’s a good beginner package as is.Colors are pleasant and they don’t feel like toy store ukuleles.Would imagine they’d be ok for most people to see if they like to play without committing a lot of money at first.Sound decent and hold tune fine once the strings settle. Took a few days so pretty typical.Good value for a beginner. Sounds good in skilled hands.Update:These are still in regular use with the kids. They don’t get abused but aren’t sitting stored away in a closet. The finish has held up surprisingly well and they still sound ok.Our teenager has outgrown hers, moving on to a much nicer one bought at a local guitar store.This one was adequate for a year of lessons before she figured out she wanted something more. So, money well spent.She now uses this one for travel and camping and it’s no worse for it.

The uke comes wayyyyy out of tune so be prepared to tune it. Other than that it’s super nice, seems durable considering the price. Coloring was spot on too!
