Purchased to replace the original because its the next part in prepping for spring time the RC.The low rating is for Product Support! The Issue -On initial run the RC wouldn't hold a line. This is on 3s with the stock gears. After initial run I found the rt rear tire had rubbed the body. The Struggle -After some investigation I spun the tire on a balancer and it had an rolling/out of round issue. Contacted Product Support and was told tires are a ‘wear item’. I can accept that, however during the trouble shooting with Product Support the agent asked for a 'video of the axles themselves spinning without the wheels on so we can determine that it is in fact the axles'. After sending the video, Product Support’s response was ‘Thank you for the video. That is normal play in the axles’ and ‘That is a normal amount of play in the axles from the factory’. So normal play in an axle that allows the tire to rub the body and RC not hold a line, stops support. Advertised as a 'Speed Basher', I could not ever try to send an 6 pound out of control missile at the advertised speed of 70 mph anywhere for *safety. *safety opinion… always slow test before you try to do speed runs with any RCThe Proposed Solution -To send the RC to the service center. (Shipping time to, 5 day SLA and then shipping time back)(Not sure if it would be back in time for some Christmas ‘Speed Bashing with the kiddo’s)The experiences -I've been in the hobby for about 8yrs, this is the first year to venture away from Traxxas (14 total). I even own some WLToys (4 total)…lol and the 2 issues were resolved with credit to replace the parts Product Support will…As soon as support closes if your emailing them they just shut down without any closure… leaving you guessing if they are in need of emergency help or a burger. A nice touch would be to inform the customer you have been emailing with all afternoon that support is closing and someone will contact you before you need emergency help or you having to make contact back into Product Support. *Generate a system email to all active issue customers of the pending closure of Product Support and an auto reply once closed. If you are chatting with Product Support online they will ghost the chat leaving you to restart with a new agent in the chat. Almost like faking a network issue to close the session on their side and all the customer can see in the chat is the Agent has left the chat. Wait but this is generally after they have greeted you and ask for a moment to review the chat session. *Solution – only the customer can release an agent from a chat. Even if there is a network issue the agent must rejoin the session.Being told by Product Support to use higher quality tools. Sadly the tools I was using were purchased from Horizon Hobby.Still working through this issue.
