I don't use this for the intended purpose. My attic access in the garage with the pull down ladder in my house was a short piece of rope. With 12' ceilings you had to get on a ladder to reach it and was tough to get a good grip on. This is an easy swap, there's plenty of rope to allow it to hang low enough to grab on too and it has a handle. This is the second home I've used it for that purpose and think it should be standard practice. If it's inside your house in a hallway or something it might be a bit of an eye sore but in the garage it's great.

I bought this to replace the original pull start handle on a breaks and scrappen 5hp. The handle was easy to install and it seems to be a quality piece. The handle is much nicer than the original one it's better on my hand,softer and easier to hold, bigger fits my hand better.

This starting rope worked fine may be a little flimsy bot was ok for my use.
