Been replacing my g with the wound string. Makes a nice tone. Replaced on my concert and tenors (bought g for tenor)

I replaced a nylon (or some similar polymer) low-G string with this, and the sound is so much better. I can deal with a polymer low-G on a tenor uke, but they just don't have any projection on a concert. This wound string has a much clearer, louder sound than the string it replaced, which the instrument really needed. I'll buy a full set of the previous strings (also Aquilas), but I will go out of my way to make sure I replace the G with one of these.

Love the sound of a low G. Quickly got used to mix of nylon and this wound string. Didn't have to alter my uke but would be an easy task if one had to.

The fact that this is a single string was not clear to me when I read the description. Plus, $6 for a single string? I went back and read the description several times and I guess it says G4 (wound). I assumed that meant it was a low G set. But, what do I know?

THE WRAPPED "G" UKULELE STRING HAS ME HOOKED. I DONT THINK I WILL FOR NOW ATLEAST EVER PUT TEGULAR STRINGS ON ANY OF THE 11 UKULELE I CURRENTLY OWN. THE LOW G IS SUCH A DIFFERENT WARM,MELLOW SOUND. IT MAKES IT SOUND LIKE A DIFFERENT INSTRUMENT. I SUGGEST THESE TO ANYONE THAT IS GETTING BORED PLAYING THERE UKULELE. GET A SET WITH A LOW G & YOULL WANT TO LEARN EVERYTHING ALL OVER AGAIN!!!!! WOULD BUY THESE ANY DAY OF THE WEEK, & HIGHLY,HIGHLY RECCOMEND BUYING A SET!!!!!
