Swapped out a broken regulator with this one and so far (3 weeks) of daily use and it works just like the original part. I didn't run this over with a micrometer so to my rookie eye it was an exact match and fit like a glove.

Worth every penny. Took me about 1hr to install because i watched the video but could do this in 20 mins now that i know. The product was great and fixed the issue of my 2005 BMW X3 window not staying up/closed.All you do is re-use the motor and install this, good to go!

One day driver side read window made a pop sound and the window glass stop moving with control. Got this product and with help of a Youtube video, I could replace the regulator without too much hassle. It works as good as original. The original one has curvature conforming to the door panel. But my guess is it might not be a big source of stress (or hopeful) in operation.

This is a perfect alternative to the BMW OEM part but for a fraction of the price. I've just finished installing this and it fits perfectly and works great. Here's a tip - don't even think about removing the glass if it isn't broken. The trim is an absolute pain in the backside to remove and put back and you don't need to remove the glass. Search YouTube for a video on how to replace the regulator. It's pretty simple and you can do it in 30 to 60 minutes but I thought I had to remove the glass and added another 3 hours of needless pain to the job. I've had to replace 3 of BMWs regulators over the years just because a little tag on the same badly designed plastic part that holds the cable in place, snaps off. BMW should have made the plastic a bit thicker to avoid this big problem. Don't waste your money buying from BMW which is around $200. This alterative for less than $30 is excellent !

I had to purchase this as the cable that attaches to the clamp which holds the window "hopped" out of its seat and proceeded to shred and destroy the upper pulley. This was also accompanied with the inability to operate the window due to the fact that the cable was now free to wind around the gear on the motor. Anyway, this clamp and cable mechanism which was the start of all my problems is significantly more robust on this replacement model than on the original. I was so happy ,after hours of trying to repair the old mechanism only to be met with the same issue, to quickly and nearly effortlessly install this new one and pop in the window and voila, perfect operation.
