The backing plates were good quality but the holes to bolt them on were not aligned properly. Had to make two holes offset to make it fit. You can see in the picture what I mean.

The holes don’t line up on my 2009 f250. I see that there are others with the same issue. Don’t order these if you have a 2009 f250 Super duty, these will not fit.

you need to remove your axels and hubs before installing. be sure to buy new axel and hub seals when installing.

2OF THE STUD HOLES WERE A HALF A HOLE OFF. HAD TO DRILL. THE BRAKE SHOE RETAINING PINS WERE TOO SHORT. HAD TO GET A HARDWARE KIT TO DO THE JOB RIGHT.

99 F350 SRW:Did passenger side first, NO ISSUE, however the driverside needed heavily modified to work. Parking brake backing plate was fine, but rotor dust cover was unusable. The truck essentially requires 2x the passenger side plate because passenger side has a rear mounted caliper and the drivers side has a front mounted caliper with a rock guard.I suppose the world needs to realize that there were changes made mid 99 to superduties and need to specify if its early or late 99 compatible.

The metal was heavier gauge than expected, and the fit was perfect for a 2004 F350. My old backing plates were rusted through and as a result the parking brakes were malfunctioning. Although changing these out is a real pain, having a functional brake system is worth the effort. Remember, the parking brake is the mechanical backup to a sudden hydraulic main brake failure. Only other option is shifting to Reverse. Good luck with that.
