I saw this paper/notebook in a video as a recommend so I bought it and it did not disappoint at all. The Apica Premium paper is great. As far as notebook construction goes, this notebook is no frills. No pockets, no place-marker ribbons. Just a cover and ruled paper, which I actually like as it helps keep the price down. The pages leave a good blank space at the top of the page before the ruling lines start to allow for any header you might want to put on it.The paper itself is excellent. I had no feathering or bleed through issues and fountain pen inks really pop on it. My fountain pens glide on the page, no abnormal feedback issues. I'm a big fan of the paper.I have filled one of these up and actually I need to order another one soon!

This is the smoothest paper I’ve ever felt. Perfect for my daily journal entries written with my Pelikan or Lamy fountain pen. The pages do not bleed, and my pen glides across the page. So happy I tried this notebook. Even better than my beloved spiral-bound Mnemosyne notebook because the paper is a little smoother. Will be buying more.

I purchased this notebook after seeing it recommended by Wirecutter, and I'm not disappointed! It is certainly better than a Moleskin and IMO rivals the Leuchtturm1917 in terms of quality, at a much lower price.CONS:Page Format - This is the only real complaint I have with the notebook, and it's quite a nitpick. I wish that the ruling was more narrow (6mm vs 7mm) and extended the entire way across the page. I have small handwriting and like to fill the entire page as efficiently as possible. I will probably buy the grid version next time.PROS:- Paper quality -This is always subjective, but I find this paper very pleasant to write on. It has a very fine grain, and is well-suited for use with a fountain pen. I haven't encountered any bleed-though, and have been pleasantly surprised at how little ghosting there is, even with an alcohol-based fineliner.- Construction -The notebook has a nice-feeling cover, and paper edges are flush. The notebook is also section-sewn (12 groups of sewn pages are glued into the binding) which means that it lies flat fairly well and doesnt constantly try to shut while sketching or laying the notebook open. This is a soft-cover notebook so you will generally want to have something backing it while writing, but the cover is sturdy enough to write without a support in a pinch.- Price -The biggie for me is the price. Are there notebooks that I like better? Yeah, probably. I adore the Tamoe River paper found in the Hobonichi notebooks, but those notebooks also cost more than twice as much.In conclusion, I am very happy with this notebook, and would recommend it to anyone strange like me that cares about nice stationary. Thanks for reading, & hope this review was helpful!Model: Apica Premium C.D. Notebook - A5-7 mm RulePrice at time of purchase: $11.80 USD

I didn't have high expectations of this pad/paper...but I was curious, so I opened it when it arrived. Wow! Seriously. I've never felt paper this smooth. It was actually a little too smooth for my fountain pen - not enough to grab the ink. Good with gel pens though.

I love almost everything about this notebook: the paper is smooth and super high quality, the simple page design with college-ruled lines and a header space at the top, the fact that it lays perfectly flat without being held down. Everything except for the cheesy quote on the cover in script letters ("Choose the paper like you would a good pen") and the prominent, tacky "Premium" stamp. I want to use a quality notebook, not declare to my coworkers that I am a stationary nerd and/or notebook elitist. I'll use it anyway because I prioritize function over form, but I would prefer a plainer and less pretentious design.

I have been using this notebook for several months now with many different fountain pens. The paper is smooth with no bleed through or feathering. However, it doesn’t show much sheen with those inks that include it. The pages fold and hold easily regardless of where you fold, and the notebook closes flat again without springing open. I don’t know how they managed that, but it works.

This notebook is just perfection for a fountain pen enthusiast. The paper in this notebook rivals the legendary smoothness of Clairefontaine 90 gsm paper which is considered the benchmark for quality notebook papers. It is even smoother and more consistent. I was definitely not expecting to find this level of smoothness and consistency in which it takes fountain pen ink of any wetness. There is absolutely no feathering or bleed-through even with the wettest nibs and wettest inks (Noodler's bulletproof or lubricated inks). In addition, the binding is so precise and the signatures have so very few pages, that the book lays flat when opened without any breaking in and folding pages with effort to make it lay flat. The notebook also comes with its own protective clear plastic foil cover which adds additional layer of protection against spills, and dirt. Excellent product! I'll be back for more.
