U.S.C.G. REGULARTION
Coast Guard and most State Laws require that scuba divers or snorkelers display a divers-down warning flag whenever they are in the water, and remove such flag when divers are out of the water.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Features durably nylon fabric, double stitching going all around the edge, 2 gross grommets for quick installation and a removable 3-piece fiberglass stiffener for better display.
STIFFENER POLE
Compliable with State Law that requires a fiberglass stiffener to ensure the flag remains fully unfurled and extended, even when there is no wind or breeze.

This product was exactly what I needed for snorkeling and scalloping trips. It's made very well and the fiberglass stiffening rod is much better than cheaper metal ones that last one trip. And the cost can't be beat. I highly recommend it.

I got this today and will be using it in fresh water lakes. The stiching and material look high quality material. Anything can rust in salt water if it's metal including stainless steel.
