I've used this for a couple months now and I have to say, it's awesome. I want a other to keep at my house, since this resided in my shop for using my JID bits in a handheld driver. I use a Japanese Makita driver with 13mm anvil so it's nice to have a hand driver to take the same bits. It's so well made, the ratcheting is beautiful, no slop, pretty much perfect.

Only regret I have is that I did not get one of these years ago...Has a lot of torque, matter of fact you have to take care not to remove screw heads from their necks. At the same time, it is easy to control, and thanks to the ingenious design one can drive and remove screws quickly by twiddling thumb and index finger while holding the ball handle. The ratcheting is tight, makes it easy to use even in cramped conditions. No complaints!

When I felt the heft of this screwdriver I knew right away that I'd like it....It's sturdy, ergonomic and very simple to operate. The magnetic bit works very well for pulling fasteners from tight spaces. It operates smoothly with audible clicks. The screwdriver can handle some pretty decent torque too. Order a variety of long 1/4 bits if you want something other than the screwdriver bit.

This is a very well made, high quality screwdriver with a nice reassuring ratcheting mechanism. It's a little bit smaller than I was expecting but actually this is not a problem at all in use. I have paired it with VESSEL IMAPCT Ball Torsion Bit with Mag Charge Holder 5PC set and this set up works very nicely.Highly recommended.

I'm a very picky guy. I have a screwdriver and tape measure problem. This screwdriver is maybe the 14th or 16th ratcheting screwdriver that I've bought. Previously, my favorite was the Bahco (1) and Blackhawk (3) pistol trigger ratcheting screwdriver...because of superior ergonomics and leverage. I'd bought the gearwrench copy (1, not as good). I bought the Bahco t-grip (solid, but no bit storage). I bought 5 different Lee Valley screwdrivers. I bought 3 vintage yankee screwdrivers. I bought some crappy home depot drivers. I bought the fancy Rolgear driver (broke very easily, but was like silk)......all in the search for a basic, comfy, ratcheting screwdriver that feels good in the hand. This is a very good, comfy ratcheting screwdriver that feels good in the hand. The blades are the most useful ones in every day use, well ground, and with excellent clearance. You can just shove a regular bit into this holder, or use a bitholder for a regular ratching driver.Well done.

The photo shows the delightful-to-use Anex ball handle ratcheting driver along with 2 other great drivers. In the middle is the Anex 397 (made in Japan) comfortable and ergonomic ratcheting ball handle screwdriver featuring a well placed reversing lever (not easily bumped out of position like many other ratcheting drivers) and a fine control thumb-and-forefinger drive that fits your hand like a glove. The double ended Phillips #2 and 6mm straight tip reversible 4-inch shaft is able to reach into deep recesses. On the left, the Wiha 387 (made in Germany) holds bits firmly without any wobble, even long bits like the Milwaukee 3-inch P2 bit. It is unchallenged for holding bits rock steady and wobble-free, the way a real screwdriver is supposed to do (but most bit drivers do not).On the right, the MegaPro Automotive (Canadian/American made) magnetic tip ratcheting driver has the lowest back-drag and the best onboard carousel bit storage for 12 standard size 1-inch bits in a large driver for big hands. Can't go wrong with any of these fine drivers.

This is hands down the best screwdriver I have ever used. It has pretty fine teeth, is very comfortable, ergonomic. The only downside is I accidentally hit the switch sometimes. It’s in an easy to use place, so it’s easy to use but easy to hit. It also takes almost any bit, as long as it’s not too short. The included bit is really good. It has really good functionality since it has the 2 most used sizes of Philips and flathead. It’s not magnetic, but that’s a minor issue. You can always magnetize the bit if you like.

Great ratcheting mechanism. Feels comfortable in the hand. Holds bits firmly. In the locked position there is no play. Good quality Japanese tool.

Comfortable ball handle; Small size is great for my baby hands, and it makes it easy to quickly spin the neck of the screwdriver with your fingers while applying pressure, which synergizes well with the ratchet. Unfortunately, you can expect to do that quite a bit; The ratchet has quite a bit of teeth and runs smoothly, but there's so much friction and backdrag on the mechanism that you won't get more than a few turns of the ratchet on any screws with clean threads. The friction fit bit holder holds the bits very solidly; I'd have no worry of the bits falling out with it in a side pouch, and the included bit is also pretty solid. (First time I've seen a key-stone style slotted bit) But for use as a ratcheting screwdriver, other options are better. It was only 11$, though, so I can't complain too much.

I knew it was useful and ergonomic out of the box. But I wanted to use it a while before reviewing. If it didn't hold up, wouldn't matter how great the design is.Happy to say after several months of daily on the job use it's still working like new. I also have the very similar Vessel brand but I don't like how it changes gears, the thin ring selector is kind of awkward compared to this Anex. The Anex is much easier to see at a glance which direction is engaged. Never have I accidentally changed gear, which happened all the time with the Vessel. Also the bit fits very snug with no rattle. The best hidden feature is using it not so much as a back and forth ratchet, but holding the ball firmly with one hand while turning the lower part with other hand. This allows a steady grip while still turning quickly (until it gets more than finger tight, then use as typical rachet)So I highly recommend this one.Con: you can't go back to non-ratchet screwdrivers after getting used to it :)
