I purchased this tub with high hopes; I read that many folks got chips in the finish soon after install but hoped this wouldn't be the case. Unfortunately, we did end up with a chip in the finish within a month of install. Never had anything in the tub or shower area except plastic soap/shampoo bottles. If the finish can't take that it should not be sold. I'll give American Standard credit, when I called about warranty they offered to send a repair kit ASAP with no proof of purchase. While I appreciate that, it just goes to show that they know this is a problem and hope to mollify customers without having to pay for the cost of pulling and reinstalling tubs. For the cost and the fact this tub should last decades, I am quite disappointed and can't recommend it to other customers. You have been warned.

We've had it for a couple of years. Have never had to fill it. It flexes as you stand to show in it, not at all as stable as the old tub. A towel rack fell into it today and made a large chip that was not apparent until draining water pulled the white surface material free to reveal the damage.Not very durable. Not solid like the cast iron it is supposed to simulate is.

Left in our driveway. Box and product were damaged. Will seller pay our contractor for the delay? And, what about the demolished bathroom? Showering at Planet Fitness gets old.

ONLY 9.5" DEEP!!!!!!Tub looks nice and i'm sure its sturdy which was one of our two biggest concerns. Our second big concern was that it would fit and adult human for bathing, which this can not.It doesn't state in on the Amazon dimensions at all. You have to dig on the American Standard Site to find it. My fault for not putting even more time into researching it. To add insult to injury Home Depot has got it for $100 less. I over paid for what I was trying to avoid...Stupid me. If you are looking for a shallow but tall tub then this is it. If you want to bathe in it get the Cambridge.

Pretty tub and as usual, Amazon is the best for delivering in a timely fashion! One tip, however, my contractor installed the tub and now the grout around it is cracking as the tub is shifting or rather it moves a bit when you step in it, due to the material it is made of. My contractor is back now cutting a hole in my closet to feed concrete under the tub to support it better. Make your contractor aware of this so you don't have the same problem. I guess if it were cast iron this wouldn't be an issue.

Was very leery about ordering a tub online but took a chance on this after being unable to find a decent tub that we could realistically afford. This is an Americast tub, solid and easy to install after setting the stringer to the correct height. This is not a bright white tub, however, it is more of a warmer or almost off-white color, please keep in mind if you are looking to match other white pieces. Our new tile is a much brighter white and there is a notable difference in the two white colors. Regardless, we have been really pleased with the tub, no squeaks or spaces where the tub does not feel supported. Shipping was GREAT, we were able to schedule delivery at our convenience and the delivery team brought the tub right into the room where we wanted it.

Appears to be exactly as ordered except for one minor item which Amazon took care of. That's why I'm an Amazon fan. Great service.One thing about this tub I can mention is that the insulation on the underside is intended to stay in place per installation instructions. I assume for insulation and structural support. I had a plumber install it so that's about all I can say about structure. But there is one thing that people should know and that is that this tub has a taller outside dimension which I thought would make it a deeper tub. But what I found out was that the floor of the tub was actually higher above the floor which makes this tub harder to get out of if you are an older individual. Because of that, I would not buy this tub again. I made this opinion after having used this tub for years.
